The James River, Part 1 of 3 |
|
The namesake of the branchline (and hence the layout) is the river that more or less divides the layout in half. It began as a gap in the Foamcore that supports the track subroadbed. This gap left the layout base exposed to form the riverbed. As the scenery along the riverbanks was completed, the river began to take shape. But because water is always added last (the water material is a magnet for damage and dirt), the river itself will not be completed for some time to come. This project was last updated on 22 August 2009. More as it happens. |
A gap in the subroadbed support forms the riverbed.
Permanent rockwork is cast in place along the banks of the river.
Greenery is added to complete the scenery around the river. |
